The Shears Inn

The room above the Shears Inn at Liversedge, near Cleckeaton was the meeting place for many committed Luddites from the West Riding of Yorkshire who came here on Friday and Saturday nights to share information. It is most likely that the attack on William Cartwright's new machines at his Rawfolds Mill was planned here.
