John's Rock

Johns Rock was named after John Leathley, General Foreman of Crouch mining, who during the development of the park brought the 40 tonne rock from the bottom of the void, 70 metres below ground onto the top of the adjacent hill, with one of the heavy plant used to landscape the park.
