Description

Lingfield Library - the 'Guest House'

Taken from the Churchyard of Lingfield Church this building believe it or not is the local library. The 15th century timber framed building is known as the 'Guest House' as it was once a place people attending the old monastic Lingfield College would stay. Bequeathed to Surrey County Council for public use in 1954 the building now houses the library and retains many original features.
