Description

Lake behind Brough Park, Leek, Staffordshire Moorlsnds

This lake and landscape is on land formerly the property associated with the long-demolished Dieulacres Abbey which stood slightly to the left of this shot. Dieulacres Abbey was demolished by 1820, and was a working abbey from about 1214 to 1538, when it was "dissolved" by Henry VIII.
