Description

Barnsley Main Pit Head and Winding Gear, Now Grade II Listed.

Following decommissioning of the site, the only remaining buildings of Barnsley Main Colliery are the Pit Head with Winding Gear and the Engine Room, which have been given Grade II Listing for Historical Interest.
