About the county of Oxfordshire
In the South-East of England lies the county of Oxfordshire, one of the most scenic of all English counties and famous worldwide for its University City of Oxford, known as the 'City of Dreaming Spires'. Lewis, a worldwide famous author was a leading figure in Oxford's most famous literary group - The Inklings and is famed for his novels such as 'Mere Christianity' and the childrens classic 'The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe'.
