The wooden half timbered building with a central archway. Dates from the 12th century. King Charles I surrended here to the Scots. He was later executed by the Parliamentarians.

Thank you all for your kind comments. It is a nice place Cathy and it was once called The Kings Head Peggy, until he had it chopped off. Bath is a lovely place Ruth, one of my favourites. I guess the the flowers in the hanging baskets make the picture, the icing on the cake.....Regards to all, Neil.
