Hi, I crossed England from West to East some 8 years ago and i only just managed to get down the 'Bingley Five' . My boat is 60ft long and the recommended length for this canal is 57Ft. I had to take my bow and stern fenders off and go diagonally in the lock. The whole canal runs from Leeds to Liverpool and has many swing bridges, HARD WORK when you are single handed.
