Bolton Priory, North Yorkshire - a 12th century Augustinian priory on the banks of the River Wharfe. The priory was painted by Landseer and Turner and inspired a poem by Wordsworth. The area is part of the Duke of Devonshire's country estate which also includes the riverside walk to the Strid, where the Wharfe is forced into a deep channel by the local terrain.
