This is the entrance to St James's Mount, a tunnel hewn out of the rock and the floor is lined with blue slate to allow safe access to the cemetery by humans, horses and carts in earlier times. Many famous Liverpool people are resting there.More pictures of Liverpool by Rod Burkey...
