Description

Richard III Statue, Castle Gardens, Leicester

At sunset on the 20th August 1485 - Richard arrived in Leicester with his army.The following morning he rode out of the City on his way to fight in what became known as the Battle of Bosworth, the last battle of the Wars of the Roses.
