Description

Caton, Lancashire

Caton is 5 miles from Lancaster in the valley of the River Lune. This stretch of the river is known as the Crook o' Lune because it forms a horseshoe loop. It is a much favoured beauty spot and was painted by Turner.

Excellent pastoral scene David. Not very far from the Devil's bridge in Kirkby Lonsdale, a place I used to knew very well. A lovely area.
