Description

Statue of Eric Morecambe

Erected in 1999, the slightly larger than life-sized statue depicts the much loved comedian Eric Morecambe in one of his characteristic poses. John Eric Bartholomew (later to call himself Eric Morecambe after the Town) he was born on 14th May 1926 in Morecambe. The statue is on the central Promenade on Morcambe Bay.
