Description

The White Windmill Heritage Centre on Ash Road

The White Windmill on Ash Road in Sandwich was built in 1760, and along with the Miller's Cottage, which was built about 70 years later, is a rare example of a surviving complete milling site. The cottage is now a museum and the site is a Heritage Centre, which is currently refurbishing the mill and its buildings.
