Ancient Roman burial mounds that have incredibly managed to survive in Stevenage. They are said to have originally been surrounded by ditches, but these has now gone and to have been quite tall conical mounds. There is a rumour that the mounds are haunted by a pack of black dogs. Luckily I have never come across them.
