Lapwing

A pair of lapwing driven further afield in the search for winter food made their way into our own fields. A rare treat for Christmas.

HAPPY CHRISTMAS! Ok, so I'm a few years off. The decline of the Lapwing is saddening. So glad that your fields have provded food and safty. Hope the years following this picture have had then return.
