The majestic Langdale Pikes, one of my favourite sight of the Lake District. Unfortunately I cannot be too precise at my position as although I did not get lost I did lose my way a little but map and compass came to my aid. So somewhere in the vicinity of Lang How, Swinescar Pike and Raw Pike along the Northeastern ridge of the Langdale Valley. Fortunately the day was bright with good visibility and occasionally other folk around. But certainly a short sharp reminder of the dangers of the fells. A lot of the minor paths had been washed away by the waters from the melting snows.
