Description

Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway

Steam train just leaving Lakeside at the bottom end of Windermere for the short journey down to Haverthwaite. Catch the boat in Ambleside, stop off in Bowness for a while, catch next boat to Lakeside hop on the train to Haverthwaite and stroll down to the Anglers Arms in Haverthwaite for sustenance. Back to the station for the train back to Lakeside and the boat back via Bowness to Ambleside. A great day out.
