Lily Tarn on Todd Crag above Ambleside. A regular visit on one of my favourite walks. Looking north with the Fairfield Horseshoe behind on the right. The path on the far side behind the tree leads off to the west across Loughrigg Fell towards Grasmere. You can just see the tip of the Langdale Pikes in the far distant left. Just towards the right of the tarn a lady had brought her dogs up from Ambleside and they were quite happily in and out of the tarn to cool off. Temperature around 24C and rising.
