Description

Sparrowhawk catches blackbird in St Stephen, Cornwall.

Sitting in my conservatory this afternoon when I heard a thump and a lot of squawking. A sparrowhawk had caught a blackbird mid flight and landed with it on my decking. I managed to get this picture before it flew off with it's prize.

Poor blackbird, nature at its most brutal. You did brilliant to grab this shot though.
