Exploring the most Picturesque & Historic parts of England
Here is a close up of the original "Monkey House" , my full text can be found on POE pic no. 1185614. The structure was finally destroyed in storms on 06/01/2014- my shot was taken in May 2013. I have visited Portreath earlier this year and a new " Monkey House" has already been built and work I believe continues on other parts of the harbour damaged at the same time. The new building has been whitewashed and I did take a couple of shots but alas only in general scenes and not at all close up to compare, ( pretty poor photographic practice I say- we learn by our mistakes.
