Description

Wheal Trewavas Mine near Porthleven, Cornwall

Wheal Trewavas Tin Mine on the coastal path near Porthleven, Cornwall. Built in 1834 it produced 17500 tons of copper before its closure in 1846. The main lodes ran out under the sea.
