Exploring the most Picturesque & Historic parts of England
Around Trelissick garden there are some lovely walks, this shot was on the South Walk. From the car park at Trelissick one walks across Trellisick park ( some times in the company of cows ) but always with a stunning view with Carrick Roads in front of you. At the far end of the Park go left along the beach and through the gate and into the woodland, the view to the south and Falmouth is always there through gaps in the trees and from the seat as you go round the tip of Trelissicks grounds. Now the woodland walk heads Northward and the trees thicken but glimpses of the boats going to and fro to Truro are there and somewhere along the way a ray of sunshine highlights some bluebells and the camera just has to come out. Soon the clanking of chains are heard- no not ghosts but the King Harry Ferry doing it's work. After watching the ferry carrying the cars back and forth head up the narrow road ( take care ) you can enter the gardens via the ferry entrance to the Gardens or continue up the road to the main car park and know it is a walk you will want to do again.
