It's a pity that the view of the Abbey Gateway is now spoiled by the scaffolding. It's quite a challenge to get a view of this building which reflects its former grandeur.

Restorations were completed in 2018 and all scaffolding has now been removed. The building now appears as it must have been after Sir George Gilbert Scott's restoration of 1869.
