About Strawberry Fields

Strawberry Fields is a charming cottage situated in the village of Draycott, 2 miles from Cheddar, standing at the foot of the Mendip Hills with views of the Somerset Levels - a beautiful, quiet and relaxed part of the West Country. With two pubs, a local Post office and farm shop Draycott is a great place to use as a base for exploring Somerset.
Cheddar Gorge and the famous caves are only 2 miles by car, or if you prefer, there are plenty of walks that will take you to the gorge via the scenic route, returning by bus if you wish!

The cottage itself is set down a quiet country lane and is the ideal retreat for a holiday away from the hustle and bustle of daily life, or as a base for walkers to begin their rambles from; there are a great many interesting and varied walks to be discovered, and many places of interest in our area to visit, for example the impressive Wells Cathedral, or Cheddar Gorge and Caves!
Within easy reach you will find Glastonbury, with its Tor and Abbey, plus the nearby Clarks Village Shopping Outlet if you fancy a bit of retail therapy after your walk up to the Tor! See below for recommended towns and attractions near Strawberry Fields.
