About Plum Tree Cottage
Plum Tree Cottage is a romantic Cottage for 2. - It has spiral stairs leading to a bright bedroom with King size Austrian sleigh bed and French windows leading to a small balcony. Lie back in bed and admire the beautiful views over the Tweed valley and clear starry skies and fresh Border air. Enjoy river walks and bird watching. There is a wood – burner in the open plan sitting room / dining room which is adjacent to the galley kitchen.
Private enclosed garden with patio and garden furniture.
This is a peaceful and idyllic setting offering riverside walks and a wildflower meadow. The River Eden provides ideal facilities for fishing or just relaxing near it. The only thing that might disturb being the splash of an otter or the green flash of a kingfisher. Close by is the historic, cobbled market town of Kelso, the Abbey and Floors Castle.
The cottages offer a variety of accommodation but all retain the cosy and romantic atmosphere provided by log burning stoves, amazing views and French windows openning out onto decking. Oak flooring is common as are Austrian sleigh beds and open plan living quarters. Garden furniture is provided and logs are also available at no extra charge to fire up the stoves. There is an integral laundry room which includes washing machine, tumble dryer and ironing facilities.
