A very good composition. I would have cloned the distracting telephone cable.

St. Michael and All Angels, Hartlip
Stephen(11th September 2020)

Thanks for the explanation Paul and thanks for the input from Edward.

St. Michael and All Angels, Hartlip
4 stars
Stephen(10th September 2020)

Paul I prefer this natural look to your other photos of the church's exterior. I'm not sure what you do them, and to many of your photos, maybe it is HDR

St. Nicholas Church, North Walsham
Stephen(4th August 2020)

And what it looks like in real life. https://www.nicholaswarns.com/our-case-studies/church-of-st-nicholas/

St Botulphs Church, Skidbrooke
4 stars
Stephen(25th July 2020)

Some excellent indoor shots Bob.

Otterburn Hall
Stephen(25th July 2020)

The foreground distracts from the building. I cropped the shadows and it looks much better.

Port Sunlight
Stephen(25th July 2020)

The lamp post spoils the view. A crop is needed, and so it doesn't look lopsided a similar crop at the other end would be in order. I tried it in paint shop and it works well.

Emmetts Garden
4 stars
Stephen(12th November 2019)

Looks much better with the adjustments I suggested. The natural colours are very nice, is good you didn't saturate it in photo shop

Ely Cathedral
Stephen(24th August 2019)

Thanks Edward. I had a go with the perspective and rotated it a bit to the left.

All Saints Church, Snodland

The first bat I've seen on POE. An excellent capture Rod.

Blowing in the Wind
4 stars
Stephen(14th August 2015)

Would never have guessed it was taken at 30x, 720mm. Not easy to hand hold at that length of zoom. Especially as the camera is quite small.

Wellingborough
4 stars
Stephen(29th July 2015)

Very good composition.

The Perils Of The Bird Feeder
4 stars
Stephen(8th July 2015)

Very well done.

Helston Cemetery
4 stars
Stephen(29th June 2015)

An excellent viewpoint Vince. The three stones are nicely spaced and the middle one is framed by those in the background and the cross is offset very well. The tree is super, Sorry I'm on my cropping horse again. I would suggest cropping the stone and tree from the left and cloning the base of the stone on the far right.

Bare Oak Tree in North Leigh near Witney.
4 stars
Stephen(25th June 2015)

The tree in the graveyard from the David Lean film of Great Expectations.

Good photos of some nice churches Ken. A pity the day was so dull.

Fairfield Horseshoe
1 stars
Stephen(29th April 2015)

You're welcome Dave. To me the poles were shouting out to be cloned.

Fairfield Horseshoe
4 stars
Stephen(29th April 2015)

Great subject Dave. The house is a good contrast as is the snow. I wonder though, how about cloning the three posts and the aerial? My eye keeps being drawn to the brown one right in the middle. I cloned them in paint shop and I reckon doing that improves the photo. Just my humble opinion of course.

Churchyard gate, Bilton
4 stars
Stephen(26th April 2015)

A very interesting angle which works very well, especially of course with the blurred background.

The Water Garden at Bushy Park
3 stars
Stephen(26th April 2015)

You take some very good photos Victor, but, and I know this is a matter of taste I think at times you go overboard with HDR

4 stars
Stephen(20th April 2015)

Good angle John.

Stephen(20th April 2015)

A good crisp image.

Snowdrop fit to dazzle. River Mersey Ferry.
4 stars
Stephen(4th April 2015)

4 stars
Stephen(22nd December 2014)

Good one John. I have played there. A very nice ground.

Peterborough Cathedral
4 stars
Stephen(22nd December 2014)

Very well done Ken, but could I suggest you clone the left post. My eye keeps being drawn to it. I have just cloned it in paint shop and it works very well. I know all too well about there not being enough space.

4 stars
Stephen(29th July 2014)

Super sky.

4 stars
Stephen(19th May 2014)

A quirky object. I found a video of the church on youtube and this is one of the comments. "It is a collection box for money - not as old as it looks - mid 20c! John Vigar, Development Manager, The Churches Conservation Trust, owners of the building" I thought it looked older.

Mill Street, Warwick
4 stars
Stephen(19th April 2014)

Nice set of Warwick Jenny.

Brixham in Devon
4 stars
Stephen(7th April 2014)

Very good Pat, but I would crop the house on the far right.

Fotheringhay
4 stars
Stephen(7th April 2014)

I agree with Edward and David. I would clone the pipe out and clone the ridge of the roof so it is the same colour as the rest of the roof, and maybe clone the path to make it appear as if the grass goes all the way to the border.

Tickencote
4 stars
Stephen(7th April 2014)

Amazing stonework.

Canopy.
4 stars
Stephen(7th April 2014)

I think it works well. Reminds me of blotting paper, or a Jackson Pollock.

Church of St.Cross, Winchester
4 stars
Stephen(27th March 2014)

Spot on verticals. With that tower it could be a mini Winchester Cathedral, but this tower looks much more in proportion than the tower of the Cathedral. Didn't know it was so close to Winchester. Wish I had known when I went to Winchester in 2009

Twilight over Stowepol, Lichfield
4 stars
Stephen(25th March 2014)

3 stars
Stephen(25th February 2014)

I sometimes have the same problem. My left leg is shorter than my right. (joke) It can be corrected in paint shop. 2 degrees to the right is all that is needed

Strange how the two windows of the right aren't level with the others and the stone coursing goes right through the middle of one of them. Number 135 looks as if it may have been rebuilt above the stone coursing because the bricks are different, bomb damage probably, but it still looks a fine Georgian building.
