Exploring the most Picturesque & Historic parts of England
This is one of the stained glass windows in the chapel at Goodrich Castle. The stunning and colourful glass was designed and made in 2000AD and set in the 15th century window. This capture was gone within five minutes as first cloud obscurred the sun and when the clouds cleared the sun had moved enough that little of the light seen here was shinning on the wall.

Well done Vince. In the right place at the right time. Very effective photo.
Right place right time is exactly what I thought. Excellent job, Vince. This is a keeper.
Excellent job Vince. The light reflecting on the wall is superb
Nice shot Vince,great reflection.
WONDERFUL image............ Beautifully captured.
I would like to query the fact that 15th century glass has been used in this window. The Millenium window was designed by Nichola Hopwood and uses 20th century coloured glass often mistakenly called 'stained glass'.
My apologies Patrick and good folk of POE, I have misread my info, the windows are 15th century BUT the glass is later as Patrick is so right to question. Superb as the window is when you think about it the colours are so bright. I stand corrected.
Hi Vince, No need to apologize..... Wikipedia states,Quote:- 'The current stained glass window in the chapel was designed in 2000 but used 15th-century glass.'
Vince here is another star to bring mine up to five which I should have given in the first place.
