About Crudwell

Crudwell is an attractive village situated between Malmesbury and Cirencester.

It's church, dedicated to All Saints, is a lovely historic building of the 12th century which is well worth spending time over to look at its many ancient features. The church interior is rich with treasures, it has lovely stained glass, a 13th century piscina, richly carved pulpit, carved pew ends and a font of the 14th century. Outside, the peaceful churchyard is scattered with graves dating back to the 18th and 19th centuries, whilst the lych-gate acts as a memorial to the dead of the 1914-1918 War.

Visitors will find this a restful place, there is a serene atmosphere, pleasant properties in lovely country lanes, and a nice friendly village inn. It is close to the delightful small market town of Tetbury where there in an interesting museum, and the beautiful gardens of Westonbirt are within easy driving distance.
