Beautifully converted byre finished to a high standard yet retaining character, with oak beams, exposed stone, cosy log burning stove, hand crafted oak and elm furniture and fittings. Well equipped fitted pine kitchen/diner with vaulted ceiling, granite worktops, Cotswold stone floors, exposed stone wall.
Facilities include electric cooker, fridge with small freezer compartment, microwave and washer/dryer. Antique pine sideboard, pew and old farming implements,all add to the special atmosphere.
Steps from the kitchen lead to the luxury bathroom with gothic style carvings, hand crafted oak cupboards and door, terracotta floor, roll-top bath, separate shower, toilet and heated towel-rail.
The kitchen overlooks the open plan lounge, with leather sofa, cotton fabric sofa, cushioned wicker chair, colour T.V.,video,and DVD player. Books, maps, information leaflets, and games are provided to help you make the most of your stay.
Private paved and gravel garden with shrubs, flowers, table and chairs with glorious views across fields towards Stiperstones hills.
Birchope Byre offers 1 double, bed handmade in unusual brown oak (with option of cot or small child's bed), 1 family room (4ft double & 1 single, beds handmade in elm,) The bedrooms are in the eaves, low beams are present at the edges of the room, there is plenty of head height in the centre and main part of the room.
Duvets, linen, towels, electricity, central heating, and first bag of logs are included in the price.
Parking for 2 cars, indoor storage for bikes by prior arrangement.
Non-smokers only. Sorry no pets. Children welcome, but please take note there are a number of stairs and no stair gates. May not be suitable for the elderly or infirm.

Bishop's Castle, our local market town offers shops for basic needs,as well as more individual and unusual shops, delicatessen, and galleries. The cafes and inns are full of character-2 brewing their own real ales. Visit Shrewsbury, Ludlow, Church Stretton, Wales, and Ironbridge Gorge,now a World Heritage SIte, with a wealth of interesting museums and Blists Hill Victorian town.
