About Oxford University Press Museum

This small museum preserves and displays the historic books, documents and printing equipment of the Oxford University Press, an international publishing house which is also a department of the University of Oxford. Graphic panels tell the story of 'The Oxford Book' from the 15th century to the CD-ROM. Strengths of the collection lie in the history of type and illustrations, and in the Oxford tradition of publishing Bibles and Dictionaries.
