About Rose Cottage
This spacious well equipped cottage is very cosy, with exposed beams, centrally situated in a peaceful, picturesque, cobbled area in an historic village,which is in an area of outstanding beauty. The picturesque village has its own pub/restaurant which is a short walk from Rose Cottage. There is also a butchers shop and a general village shop with News/ Post Office.
The cottage is in an enviable position, surrounded by lovely countryside for local walks, you may see the wild deer. Walk up to Farleton Knott and Burton Fell to see the limestone pavements. Nearby are canal, fishery and the RSPB Leighton Moss reserve,. Sizergh Castle, Levens Hall, Leighton Hall, Borwick Hall are minutes away. Our guests return year after year, telling us how comfortable and lovely the cottage is to return to after an enjoyable day out.
Rose cottage offers spacious accommodation for two with one double bedroom, lounge with dining area, separate kitchen and shower room.
The double bedroom has an attractive French bed, fitted robe, chest of drawers and dressing table and full length mirror.
The shower room has a large walk in shower, basin, shaver point and wc
The relaxing, comfortable lounge has beams, a gas fire set in a Lakeland stone surround, nicely furnished including 2 comfortable settees. Dining area.
A separate well equipped kitchen with dishwasher, gas hob, electric oven and grill, microwave, slow cooker, toaster, fridge and freezer. Iron and ironing board, etc.
The kitchen opens on to a pleasant, sheltered courtyard area with small garden, table and chairs.
This lovely cottage has gas central heating.
There are no meters or added costs.
