About Poppy Cottage
Located at the heart of the tranquil village of Bothel; just north of Bassenthwaite and Keswick.
This enchanting 200 year old holiday cottage sleeps three people in one double bedroom and one single bedroom. Renovated to a modern standard, The cottage offers well equipped self catering holiday accommodation ideal for couples and small families. Poppy Cottage also welcomes pets so that all the family can enjoy the beauty of the Lake District.
The cottage also has a wonderful garden, complete with lawn area, summerhouse, picnic table and patio set. The garden is great for taking advantage of the warm summer days relaxing in the sun with a cool drink.
Poppy Cottage is only a short walk from the local pub which serves excellent food, and has good access to the A591 and the popular tourist towns of Keswick and Cockermouth. The cottage is also only a few minutes from Bassenthwaite Lake.
Ground Floor
Lounge: The cosy lounge has sofa seating, Digital TV and DVD player and log burning stove; great for a cosy evening in after a long day of walking on the fells.
Kitchen: the fully fitted kitchen has everything which you would need, including: hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher and fridge-freezer. The kitchen also has dining table with seating for three.
Bathroom: The bathroom has bath, separate shower cubicle, toilet and wash basin.
Laundry Room: This brick building in the garden has: washing machine, tumble dryer and rotary clothes line.
First Floor
Double Bedroom: With double bed, bedside tables, chest of drawers, wardrobe and feature fireplace.
Single Bedroom: With single bed, bedside table, chest of drawers and wardrobe.
Additional Information
Bed Linen, Towels, Kitchen linen, Electricity & Gas and an initial supply of logs for the fire are included. Cot and High Chair are available upon request (linen for the cot is not provided). Pets are welcome in Poppy Cottage. We provide initial supply's of toilet rolls, kitchen rolls, dishwasher tablets, handwash, cooking oil, vinegar, salt and pepper.
