About Cottage No 4

A real taste of country living on a hill farm where you can walk straight out of the door and up the fells. Harriet, the owner, will cook meals of local food delivered to your door. 7 warm, comfortable cottages with views to the Lake District fells and the Scottish Hill. Nearby is Talkin Tarn for boating, walking and the golf course. There is good local pub within walking distance. Walking is excellent on the local North Pennine fells or in the Lake District. Wildlife, including red squirrels is plentiful on the farm and the RSPB reserve next door. There is peace and quiet too. An excellent base for heritage seekers too with Hadrian's Wall nearby. Carlisle is 10 miles away and offers excellent shopping, visitor attractions. Ullswater is 25 miles and Gretna 12 miles.
This property offers 2 bedrooms including 1 double room and 1 twin room with a family bathroom downstairs. Kitchen/living/dining area is open plan upstairs with views across the farm towards the Lake District Fells.
