About The Gables Hotel

A small family-run hotel with after dinner entertainment provided by the host. 5 miles east of Durham city, on the B1283 road at Haswell Plough. John and Dorcas Milner have been the owners of The Gables Hotel for the past 23 years and have lived in the village of Haswell Plough for the past 38 years. The Gables is a small family-run hotel which has a very good reputation for its fine English foods. It has been recommended by the AA and Les Routiers. The restaurant is small but quaint and cosy.
