This beautiful tarn is a haven for local wildlife. Birds, ducks, foxes, stoats rabbits and many others make this their home.
Originally this site contained a Boatmakers Building, a Skaters Clubhouse and a cafe. The buildings fell into disrepair after 1936 and today all that remains is the outline of the outer wall and the boat makers mould.This picture appears in the following picture tours:
