I'm working on Coventry as well John (I'm going to know more about Cathedrals than than the Archbishop of Centerbury by the time I've finished)

Coventry has had the status of Cathedral bestowed on it twice, once when the original 14th century building was elevated to Cathedral status, then again when it was rebuilt after being destroyed in WWII. Only a small part of the original building remains.

I'm wondering if I shouldn't be crossing the border into Wales, or the border back out of Wales, being as I was at St. Asaphs Undecided

I'm staying in Wales until I know otherwise and I'm going to have a shot at St. Davids, the village is actually a city because of the cathedral. The way the cathedral is built it appears to be below ground when viewed from the village centre.

At last ! ! ! ! ! ! !

St David's it is Ruth

Status as a city ...... but it is a very small village ........ hence my reference to disparity ..... population around 2000

can't find the number but David Swann has the picture we all commented on that gives a very brief but succinct history

Yes !!!!!

I think I've read the history of nearly every cathedral in England and Wales, not bad for a non-religious person. Good job I like the history of the buildings.

Excellent quizzy Dave. My thinking cap is on now Smile

OK let's give this a go. I suspect it won't last too long.

What connects these three places.

Surrey, Malta and Morocco.
