Port of Liverpool Interior. Liverpool waterfront.
Port of Liverpool Interior. Liverpool waterfront. - by Rod Burkey ©

Port of Liverpool Interior. Liverpool waterfront.

The Port of Liverpool Building stands proudly along side the Cunard and Royal Liver Buildings. This picture was taken looking upwards to the interior of the dome from the hallway. I worked here from 1963 to 1969 and never tired of admiring this wonderful building, both inside and out. They now have a coffee shop open to the public. Well worth a visit. In my day, we called it "the Dock Office". The Mersey Docks and Harbour Board was soon replaced by the Mersey Docks and Harbour Company.

Superb shot of symmetry with great sharpness and bright colours. I wonder just how many fail to see this when visiting this building that has such meaning to you.
