Stay at the most convenient location! The George is just 10 minutes (5 miles) away from Gatwick Airport, and right in the Town Centre. All the Night Clubs, Pubs, Restaurants, Cinema and major shopping areas are just a walking distance away. The local Railway Station is just a 5 minutes walk away. Dating back to 1615, this former Coaching Inn is steeped in history & character. Located in Crawley town centre, The George is also close to M23 and Gatwick Airport. The Hotel has a wide range of function rooms for meetings conferences, weddings and private parties. In the George Bar, English Pub food is a favourite amongst the locals and guests who delight in our selection of wines and spirits. Alternatively, you may prefer to sample from a varied choice of traditional food and excellent selection of wines in our friendly, informal 1615 Pub. We now provide transport to and from the Airport as well as for local needs. We charge a very nominal rate of £6.50 per room for a one-way journey to the Airport, which is less than 50% of what is usually charged by the local cabs. Our guests just need to give us a call to have the transport arranged. After calling us, the guests need to wait near the yellow sign marked 'Hotel & Courtesy Pick-ups'. The transport is available on request and subject to availability & time.
