In the civil war, the inn was a Royalist-owned hostelry. The restaurant serves the best English and Continental cuisine, and the hotel offers facilities for small private functions and conferences. It is most pleasantly situated overlooking the old village green. The bar has a list of the inn's landlords, dating back to before the Civil War, when it was a Royalist owned hostelry. The restaurant serves the best English and Continental food, fine wine and traditional ales. What's so special about us? The twelve comfortable en suite bedrooms all have modern facilities. The Red Lion can cater for small weddings and private functions of up to fifty people, or small conferences with up to ten delegates.
