The Mercure Whately Hall Hotel, originally a 17th-century coaching inn, is close to Banbury Cross. The bedrooms, varying in size and style, are well equipped. Spacious and very comfortable public areas include cosy lounges and an informal bar. Some of the original oak panelling and the black beams are still intact and service is attentive and friendly.
