About Marmadukes Hotel
Marmadukes is a fine small hotel situated just a short walk from the Minster and the ancient walls of the city of York. We have taken a classic Victorian gentleman’s residence and created a beautifully designed family owned and operated hotel with an emphasis on comfort and friendliness. Marmadukes also own one of York’s most important buildings, the 700 year old Lendal Tower, a scheduled historic monument in the heart of the City. Originally part of York’s defence system, Lendal Tower will soon be open for business as one of the world’s most special places to stay. Please contact us for details. Our award winning chefs at the Dining Room restaurant combine local produce and seasonal availability with balanced flavours and simple cooking. If you wish to dine with us, please reserve your table in advance. After dinner, it is very likely that our 2 cats Bella and Maud may join you in the lounge for coffee, liqueurs and home made petit fours.
