About George & Dragon Hotel

In the heart of the North York Moors, combining superb food and atmosphere with elegant and spacious accommodation. In the centre of lovely Kirkbymoorside, combining quiet rooms in Cormill/Rectory with atmospheric 17th C coaching inn. Ideally located between Helmsley and Pickering in the heart of the North York Moors and National Park, the George and Dragon Hotel is a very special place. Created by combining the original 17th Century Coaching Inn with the adjoining rectory and corn mill to make a haven of charm and hospitality in the sleepy market town of Kirkbymoorside ('church by the moor')- a place redolent of less hectic days gone by. Rich in history, heritage and beauty the g&d is a pub serving top quality pub grub and real ales, a bistro and a fine dining restaurant where the skills of our 3 chefs are shown to their full. We also have a passion for wines, with a vast selection of carefully chosen and fairly priced bins. Individually- styled bedrooms all en suite. 4 poster, superior rooms and junior suites available.
