About The Unicorn Hotel
The Unicorn Hotel is a 17th century hotel with warm honey coloured stone walls, window boxes bursting with colour and a stylishly decorated interior. The Unicorn is the perfect place to relax and explore the local beauty of the Cotswolds. All 20 rooms have their own character and individual style. Jacobean furniture nestles against modern fabrics and ancient beams lie against colour-washed walls. Modern bathrooms lead off antique furnished bedrooms, and there are both half tester and four-poster rooms. Soak up history at the Unicorn in the pretty sitting room with afternoon tea by the inglenook fireplace. Step over the flagstone hearth into the friendly atmosphere of the bar with its roaring log fire and wooden settles, which is as popular with the locals as it has always been. Sink into a comfy chair next to the fire and relax with a drink and a light meal. Alternatively, enjoy fabulous English cooking with a modern twist in the elegance of our recently refurbished dining room. Our food has recently been featured in 'Country Life' magazine and has also been placed in this years 'Which Good Food Guide 2007'. The arts of Cheltenham and Stratford are also in easy reach. All rooms have private en suite bathroom, remote control colour television, radio, hairdryer, tea/coffee making facilities and direct dial telephone.
