About The Moorland Hotel
Whilst only 20 minutes from the heart of Plymouth, as its name suggests, the hotel sits on the quiet edge of the moor. It is situated on the southern slopes of Dartmoor National Park with views across the South Hams to the sea. The hotel is the ideal centre for touring this beautiful and very interesting part of South Devon, including the beaches of the South Hams, beautiful Dartmoor, and the coastal city of Plymouth with all its maritime history. There is also a wealth of National Trust properties in close proximity and the Eden Project in Cornwall is a pleasant hours drive away. With panoramic views of Dartmoor around to Plymouth Sound and the sea, The Moorview Restaurant offers a la carte dining each evening and is also available for private functions. There is also a fine function suite available for weddings, business seminars or meetings & special occasions, which can hold up to 66 people. Unfortunately the hotel does not have a lift.
