Set minutes away from Bowness and Windermere in the heart of the Lake District, the Lodge is an ideal base for your Lake District holiday, with Ambleside and Keswick only a short drive away, through beautiful mountain scenery. Grasmere and Dove Cottage, the home of William Wordsworth are only a 20 minute drive from Ivythwaite Guest House, so whatever you choose to do, you will be able to enjoy the splendours that the Lake District has to offer. A 15 minute stroll will take you to the lively village of Bowness and the shores of Lake Windermere, where you can take a cruise or hire a rowing boat. Nearby there are also numerous pubs and restaurants to choose from and a wide selection of Lakeland curio shops. We have our own private off-road parking and are set in our own garden, where guests can relax in quiet surroundings.
