About Langdale Pikes

These famous pikes rise loftily above the village of Langdale, whilst below visitors can savour the wild and desolate beauty of Stickle Tarn.

The magnificent lake district is well known for climbing and stunning scenery, and this is one of the most dramatic spots of the entire lake land area.

Langdale Pikes and Lingmoor Fell are surrounded on all sides by rolling hills and mountains interspersed with lakes and tarns - these are scenes of breathtaking beauty, unsurprising therefore that visitors find their way to this fabulous scenic area in thousands. For in the winter it rivals the Alps of France and Italy
