About Trumpington

Beautifully situated in a wonderful area, yet close to the M11 is Trumpington. It is here you will find a church that contains the second oldest memorial brass in England. It commemorates Sir Roger de Trumpington and dates 1289. This is an ancient church that is elaborate in church design and decor, it is a place of calm anf great beauty and houses many treasures. The village has a delightful mix-match of picturesque properties and has an inn that dates from the 16th-century and two other buildings of note from the 18th-century. This little place is well worth a visit. It is en-route to Cambridge and not far from Granchester and Great Shelford, it lies within the glorious fenlands.
