Whether you are simply looking for inspiration on picturesque places to visit (You'll find plenty here via our many picture tours) or you would like specific advice from other members of the PicturesOfEngland.com community regarding places to stay and things to see, PicturesOfEngland.com can help you get the most out of your trip to England.

Step 1 - Use our Family-friendly England forums

Forums are not for everyone but they are incredibly useful when it comes to planning a trip, with most people who frequent them often ready to help and give friendly advice where they can. We therefore strongly advise that before anything else, you pop into our family-friendly forums to introduce yourself and let people know that you are here using the site to plan a trip to England. Doing this before anything else gives other members time to read your message and get back to you with any help or advise that they can offer you. Whats more, you won't find a more friendly and helpful bunch of people than those found on our forums!

Step 2 - Use the 'Add to Favourites' links and buttons to store all your favourite towns, attractions & accommodation.

Once you have registered and logged into the Pictures of England website, you will be able to add items to your 'My Favourites' page for later reference. This is exceptionally useful when planning a trip as even if you turn off your computer, the list if stored on the site for you to come back to at a later date. You can also then email friends and family a link to your 'My favourites' pages if you want to show them the towns, villages, hotels, attractions that you plan to visit. You could even point them to the registration page and encourage them to create their own list of favourites to share with you!

To add a town, attraction, hotel or other item to your 'My Favourites' page, simply click any of the 'Add to favourites' links or buttons around the site. You can always remove them later if you add any by mistake!
To find a town, village or attraction, simply use the main site search or any of the links down the left-hand side of the site such as 'Picturesque villages', 'Historic Market towns', 'Attractions' and so on.

Step 3 - Find and select your England Accommodation (thousands to choose from)

PicturesOfEngland.com has thousands of hotels, B&B's and holiday cottages to choose from, all at competetive rates. Whether you are looking for a cheap B&B for an over night stay, or something to cater for the whole family on a month long visit, Pictures of England has all the accommodation you will need. You can also add any of our listed places to your 'My Favourites' pages too.
