Hi from Kent.

Hi I'm Mike from just outside Maidstone in Kent. I found this website whilst looking for photos of my friend's village in Sussex. I used to take photos for a hobby back in the late 80s when I had a film SLR but when that broke I never acquired another. Then on a trip to the Lake District in 2005 I borrowed a Canon Ixus and got back into photography. A few friends were interested in buying my photos so I splashed out a year later on a Nikon D40.

I come from Kent but I my favourite places to photograph are The Lake District and Cornwall. These last few years I've been amazed from TV programmes and magazines how stunningly attractive this country is and will probably never have another holiday abroad.

So, hello to everyone, I hope I can keep up with all the posts on this forum, in the meantime please have a look at my photos and I hope you enjoy them.

I totally agree with you about the beauty this country offers and I just know there are plenty on this website and forum who think the same. Join us here in the forum whenever you can, and nice to have you aboard!
